Sunderland Elementary School

I'm Aleshia Reid, the preschool teacher. Learning is underway in our classroom as we sing, count, sort, and explore our way through autumn! Preschool is a developmental time where students learn about the world through hands on experiences. Upon entering my classroom, you will notice that we are very proud of our hard work. Our artwork and photos cover the bright and cheery walls! Our dramatic play area can change when the mood strikes. For instance, playing doctor has been a big hit in preschool so we have turned our dramatic play area from house to doctors office! It won't be a doctor's office for long as our imaginations are always fueling new ideas. If you happen to visit us during snack time you will notice that we are working on our social development by eating snack family style. We learn social communication by asking a friend to pass water and snacks. We work on snack math too! We are getting good at counting pieces of snack and scoops of fresh fruit! Please come visit us in Preschool- We laugh a lot, play a lot, and grow a lot!
